Generally designed as all-in-one type including the navigation key system, main key or front key, where major switch functions are congregated, strictly requires stable contactability, high-standard durability and reliability, clear tactile feel and high communication sensitivity. According to its formal or functional differences, main key can be classified into normal-type, sheet-type, reel-type, EMI-type or more and generally makes the best of ¥Õ 5 ?sized domes considering both of reliability and tactile feel.

Defined in contrast to reel-type by its process method, sheet-type in the
shape of generally 6 to 8 metal dome sheet-arrayed base film (sheet)
provides manual peel-n-place assembly workability.

As the most generalized form, this type is most suitably chosen for manual
or semi-auto keypad assembly line.

In contrast to sheet type, reel-type features its automated production method
and support of full auto peel-n-place keypad assembly line, contributing to
customers production line automation, cost saving and productivity
improvement as well as quality improvement.

Provided with reel-type production line since 2003, Hantech has been
providing reel-type metal dome sheets for leading mobile phone
manufacturers home and abroad.

As defined in contrast to EMI-type, non-EMI-printed normal-type is cost
-effectively applied to low-end portable communication appliances and
highly recommended for non-communicational appliances like MP3,
navigation appliances and remote controllers.

Normal-type carries the same structure and electric or mechanical
functions but the EMI effect.

EMI-type, in the shape of conductive silver ink-printed on the surface of
normal metal dome sheet, is designed to ultimately prevent circuit and chips
damage by electric shock and improve communication sensitivity by
intercepting electromagnetic or electrostatic infiltration into circuit and thus
killing noise. Hantech control the electric resistance under 2 ¥Ø

-EMI : Electro-magnetic Interference or Electro-magnetic Interception

-ESD : Electro-static Discharge

According to silver ink printing pattern, it is classified into mesh pattern and
solid pattern and each can be further subdivided into dome-opened
(whole/ ¨ö ) and dome-closed.

Dome-(¨ö)opened mesh-type
As the most generalized design, dome opening
degree is optional and the resistance control range is
2 ¥Ø or under.

Dome-closed mesh-type
As the wider printing area is provided the better EMI
effect comes out, this type provides better EMI effect
than the dome-opened mesh-type. The control range
is 1.5 ¥Ø or under.

Dome- (¨ö) opened solid-type
This solid-type provides excellent EMI effect in contrast
to mesh-types. This print design is recommended for
high-end products that require high communication
quality, controlling the resistance at 1 ¥Ø or under.

Dome-closed solid-type is also available on your
requirement while it is not recommendable for its
disadvantages to controlling dome eccentricity and
foreign material and of deterioration of tactile feel.

By establishing FPCB/PCB production line in May of 2004, Hantech has
been providing FPCB/PCB products like con-to-con or various electric circuit
boards and, in relation to metal dome switch, metal dome keypad module
(metal dome sheet and FPCB/PCB assembly) service as well.

Supported by the company owned PCB production line, Hantech provides
price and quality-competitive assembly service for the customers all over the
world.
